No, none of our restaurants are nut free. Most of our locations are independently owned and operated franchises, so we recommend contacting your local restaurant directly to ask if they can accommodate any requests regarding peanuts/tree nuts.
DAIRY QUEEN® Chocolate DILLY® Bars sold in a clear plastic wrap have been produced on a peanut-free line. Please note, this line does produce DILLY® Bars and other products with tree nuts such as almonds.
Novelties such as the DILLY® Bar and BUSTER BAR® Treats are available in packages to take home. Other DQ® products, such as our toppings, are not available for purchase for home use. Some items are available only to licensed DQ® franchise operators for distribution in DQ® restaurants.
DILLY® Bars that are handmade by the staff at DQ® restaurants include the signature curl. Other DILLY® Bars are manufactured for DQ® restaurants, and the manufacturing equipment is not able to duplicate the trademark curl DILLY®.
Yes. The amount of caffeine in one 16 oz MOOLATTÉ frozen blended coffee drink is approximately 15mg.
A brazier is a charcoal grill and DAIRY QUEEN® BRAZIER® food was the trademarked name for the DQ® food system beginning in 1957. Though we still use the trademark on a limited basis, the DQ® BRAZIER® food system has now evolved into the DQ GRILL & CHILL® Restaurant.

The substance used to adhere the paper wrappers onto our cones is not glue, but is simply corn syrup, which is completely safe if ingested.

“Grandpa McCullough,” the man who was the driving force behind the creation of DAIRY QUEEN® soft serve, dubbed the store “DAIRY QUEEN” because he believed his soft serve was a “queen” among dairy products, the epitome of freshness and wholesomeness.
The majority of DQ® restaurants throughout the United States are individually owned and operated franchises. Our DQ® locations offer menu variations due to restaurant type. There are some DQ® locations that carry optional items (like chocolate soft serve or crunch topping for cones) that you may not find in every restaurant.
We never take it lightly when considering whether to discontinue a product, as we know it is someone’s favorite! Some menu items are planned to be available for a limited time only, while other menu items are removed due to low sales. We are always monitoring fan requests and continue to bring back fan favorites.
